Summer in Båstad is just around the corner, and we are very much looking forward to opening the gates and welcoming you to two weeks of international tennis at Båstad Tennis Stadium.
We begin with the WTA tournament on July 6–11, where once again this year we will offer free admission throughout the entire week. Last year’s final was one of the absolute highlights of the season, with sold-out stands and a truly magical atmosphere. We look forward to continuing to develop the WTA week into a natural and recurring part of the summer – a complete experience where tennis, togetherness, and the feeling of summer come together for the whole family to enjoy.
From July 13–19, it is time for the ATP tournament, which once again has been voted “Tournament of the Year” by the players themselves. We are already pleased to confirm two top players:
🎾 Andrey Rublev – the 2023 champion, with an impressive 17 ATP Tour titles to his name, is known for his passionate playing style that has truly been embraced by the Båstad crowd.
The former world No. 5, currently ranked No. 14, had a strong start to the season, reaching the third round of the year’s first Grand Slam in Melbourne.
🎾 Our reigning champion, Luciano Darderi, is looking forward to defending his title in Båstad.
The Italian, currently ranked No. 23 in the world, has also enjoyed an excellent start to the new season. At the Australian Open, he reached the fourth round – his best result to date in a Grand Slam tournament. His run ended against his compatriot and reigning champion Jannik Sinner. Competing on equal terms with the very best on the sport’s biggest stages is an encouraging sign, and we very much look forward to welcoming two of our former champions back to Båstad.
