SMÅ LIRARE / KLEIN PLAYERS

Små Lirare was started in the fall of 2012 in Gothenburg by former tennis professional Magnus “Gusten” Gustafsson, and has been part of SvTF Gothenburg’s junior program since 2017.

Små Lirare is part of Team Klein, which also includes Tennis Players and Klein Players for older players. The goal when Gusten started Små Lirare was for children to take on different sporting challenges in a playful way, both individually and in groups. The aim was also for parents to get involved with their children.

Everyone should feel involved and be involved in developing the group together. The parent-led meetings are permeated with joy and playful exercises where the match element and the challenge are most often present. Everything is done in team form so that the children feel that they win and lose as a team.

The Perfect World Foundation

Every year, over 325 million tennis balls are thrown away — most ending up in landfills. But not in Båstad!

This year, during the Nordea Open, we collected every single ball so that none were wasted. Instead, they are now being transformed into our very first Tennis Ball Elephant — a symbol of creativity, sport, and conservation.

Next summer, the elephant will be unveiled during the tournament and then auctioned off, with all proceeds going to “Små Lirare”, a project that gives children the chance to play tennis.

By turning waste into art, we’re raising awareness and funds to protect endangered wildlife — and proving that even small actions can make a big difference.

Support our mission today — together we can serve for a healthier planet!
