A fall greeting from the team behind the Nordea Open.
It’s remarkable how quickly two weeks can pass. The 2025 tennis summer concluded on July 20 – and just days later, the arena and Hotel Skansen almost felt “normal” again. The buzz from the beach blended once more with the softer sounds from the lower courts. The scoreboard was reset. 0–0. Work toward 2026 has already begun.
After a memorable 2024 with Nadal leading the headlines, our focus is not on comparison, but on evolution – to improve, to try new ideas, and to create more opportunities where tennis and people meet.
This year’s Nordea Open was a celebration of tennis, community, and excellence – from the very first serve to the final point. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made it possible: our fantastic team, all volunteers, the players – and, of course, our partners.
A special thank you goes to our title sponsor Nordea, whose long-term commitment makes this event not only possible but exceptional. Their support for both tennis and Båstad is truly invaluable.
The Nordea Open is about more than match times. It’s about connection – between fans and players, between companies and ideas, between generations. It’s the junior who gets a nod from their idol, the family sharing a first match experience, the entrepreneur meeting a new partner between sets.
The WTA final, with 4,500 passionate fans in the stands, reflected the growing interest in women’s tennis – and we’re excited to keep developing that week. Meanwhile, Luciano Darderi’s remarkable rise, with back-to-back wins in Båstad and Umag, marked the emergence of a new ATP talent.
The tournament weeks were symbolically opened by the Next Generation Cup finals for 15-year-olds, in collaboration with the Swedish Tennis Federation. Watching young talents take the Centrecourt – where legends have played – was both symbolic and inspiring.
The Nordea Open is a joint effort across the entire Bjäre Peninsula. Hotel Skansen, Riviera Strand, and Torekov Hotell lead the way, providing space for rest and networking – for players, partners, and guests alike. The harbor, beach, ridge, and stadium frame the experience, while local restaurants and venues keep the evenings alive. That’s why satisfaction remains high – year after year.
Our guests range from toddlers to centenarians. It’s not always easy to meet everyone’s needs – but every single visitor matters.
Children: activities, autographs, and short formats that inspire curiosity.
Families: clear flow, good food options, and places to stay and play.
Businesses: platforms to showcase, invite clients, and connect.
Players: a professional yet intimate atmosphere, with seamless logistics.
Volunteers: our heartbeat and smile to the world – without you, no tournament.
While the global tennis calendar continues to evolve, our focus remains clear: to attract the world’s best players to Båstad and deliver world-class experiences for all.
We believe in Båstad as a premier tennis destination – and we’ll continue to strengthen it with accessibility and quality at the heart of everything we do.
At Arena Båstad, we feel both proud and energized. Planning for Nordea Open 2026 is already underway – and we look forward to welcoming players and fans back next summer.
