Wednesday at Nordea Open features all second round singles and four doubles matches. Three Swedish players are through to the second round, not since 1988 have we had that many home players through to the second round.

Second seed Anna Karolina Schmiedlova plays first match on Court 1 on Wednesday against Elina Avanesyan. That match is followed by sixth seed Lauren Davis, of the USA, playing Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska.

The Center court will host three matches with Swedish interests where 19-year old Caijsa Hennemann kicks of her campaign to secure a spot in the quarter-finals by facing fifth seed Panna Udvardy of Hungary.

Second match Swedens No 1 and fourth seed, Rebecca Peterson, will play Leolia Jeanjean of France.

Mirjam Björklund continues the schedule with her match against Rebeka Masarova of Spain and finishing off the center court program is the match between Viktoriya Tomova, of Bulgaria, and Ipek Oz of Turkey.
