Zverev sets up second round clash with Monteiro


Fifth-seeded German Alxander Zverev was pushed to three sets on center court on Tuesday, with Slovakian Alex Molcan providing the opposition. Zverev took the first set according to the program with 6-4 with Molcan changing the pace in the second and got an early break which he then held and took the set 6-3.

The third set offered no less than 5 serve-breaks and in the end it was Zverev who emerged as the winner when Molcan could not hold serve to take the third set to a tie-break.

Zverev won 6-4 3-6 7-5 and will now face Brazilian Thiago Monteiro in the second round on Thursday.
