Grigor Dimitrov Withdraws from Nordea Open – Injury Against World No. 1 Forces Exit

Grigor Dimitrov has been forced to withdraw from the Nordea Open in Båstad after sustaining an injury during his fourth-round match against world No. 1 Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon. The Bulgarian star was leading 6–3, 7–5, 2–2 in the third set when he suddenly collapsed to the ground, clutching his chest.

After consulting with his physiotherapists, a visibly emotional Dimitrov was forced to retire from the match.

Hubert Hurkacz Also Pulls Out Following Knee Surgery

Polish tennis star Hubert Hurkacz has also announced his withdrawal from the Nordea Open after recently undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. The 28-year-old has been struggling for weeks with pain and fluid buildup, which ultimately led to the decision to have surgery.

”I’ll only come back when I’m 110 percent ready to compete again,” Hurkacz stated on social media.
