Elias has been close to top 100 in the world a few times and he likes the courts and feeds off from the crowd in Båstad. On top of that he has shown good form as of late, so to give Elias the chance again feels nothing but right.

Elias makes his 8th start in the tournament, however, it will be without his brother on the starting list as the Swedish numer one Mikael Ymer has chosen not to play this year’s tournament.

Earlier we also announced that Holger Rune, from Denmark, has been awarded a Wild Card and now only 1 remains to be dealt before the tournament starts in mid-July.

Two Wild Cards for the qualifiers have also been awarded and accepted by Swedes Carl Söderlund and Leo Borg.

Carl has shown great results in the US college system for a few years and Leo is the top ranked junior player in the country. Both have big potential and are hard workers 💪🏼 so to give then the chance in the qualies feels great!
