In the second match on center court on Tuesday, it was finally time for Elias Ymer to make his entrance in the tournament. His opponent was Sumit Nagal from India. Nagal, ranked 68th in the world, has won two Challenger tournaments this year and was on paper a tough opponent for the home favorite.

It was not without chances in the first set at 3-3, where Ymer had a break chance, but Nagal overcame the challenge and instead broke Ymer in the next game and later served out the set 6-4.

In the second set, the Indian saved three break points early and held on to win the match 6-4, 6-3. Nagal will now play forth seed Mariano Navone of Itlay.
